Get a copy of this zine about the contentious history of urban renewal in Durham. The cover of this zine is a reprinting of the letters Durham's redevelopment commission sent out to residents in Black neighborhoods, especially historic Hayti, before the construction of the 147, the Durham freeway, which would change the social and economic fabric of Durham and leave a legacy of broken promises and racism.
This zine was released in concert with the City of Durham's study of the Durham Freeway, aiming to develop a community-led vision for the corridors most impacted by the Durham freeway.
